How To Track Your Maersk Container?
Tracking your Maersk container is not difficult and you can easily find out where your shipment is and when you can expect an arrival. Just click the button in the sidebar.
While Maersk container tracking instructions are usually supplied by your shipping agent the online process is simple and user-friendly. Each container is assigned an 11-digit code using the ISO 6346 system which identifies the owner, serial number, category and check digit. This coding system can track your container and give you an estimated delivery status.
Simply enter your unique ISO shipping container number on the tracking page and the container’s departure port time, current location, the last discharge port, the place of delivery, the current estimated time of arrival (ETA) and any alerts are available to you.
Maersk shipping containers are made of solid steel and come with plywood or timber flooring. The most common shipping container dimensions are 20′, 40′ and 45 container sizes and in two different categories: dry cargo and specific-purpose containers. These containers can be used to ship a multitude of items and are classified according to the intended purpose of the container.
For instance, if your cargo is a vehicle, it would be shipped in a flat rack or platform container while food shipments would be shipped in a refrigerated or “reefer” container. Because these shipping containers come in various sizes and styles, they can be used to transport practically anything anywhere in the world no matter how big the dimensions or height.
